Schroders International Selection Fund Global Energy is approved by the SEC and was launched on Monday 25 th February 2008. The relationship between the two began in 2003, by way of Schroders investing money on behalf of Tatil Life Assurance Ltd.
Schroders Global Energy is an open-ended fund incorporated in Luxembourg. The Fund's objective is to provide capital appreciation through investment in quoted securities of companies connected with the provision of energy worldwide. The Fund is managed by an experienced team of seven energy specialists with a combined total of over 70 years’ investment experience. There is no redemption fees associated with this investment
The fund’s 12 month returns for the period ending 9 th May 2008 has outperformed the MSCI World energy index and has been ranked number 1 out of 18 among its peers. For the same period it was 24% higher than the index. At March 31 st 2008 the 1 year, 3 year and 5 year returns per annum were 35.51%, 25.70% and 30.19 % respectively, making this fund a top performer worldwide.
